Use of Wireless and Mobile Internet in Taiwan
According to Taiwan Economy Ministry's survey data, iResearch concludes that Taiwan Internet users prefer to access wireless and mobile Internet at public location than at home and work. For wireless access, only 37.7% of users log on line through wireless LAN, which is much lower than users at home or public location. For users who access Internet by mobile equipments (mainly mobile phones), most pubic location has good network coverage. The percentage of mobile internet users who access Internet at public location is relatively high as 61.1%.
